Brief History... 

Through the efforts of Lion Don Justin and Lion Jerry Dalleska with the help of members from the Winona Noon Lions and Winona Rivertown Lions, the Lions clubs of Winona were able to put on the first Diabetes Screening Program. This was so successful, it has been used in the area as an example of how these Diabetes screenings should be done. The people involved from the Community Memorial Hospital were without a doubt the greatest help in making this event so successful. Lion Bob Andraschko was the recipient of the Melvin Jones award. The club threw its support behind the nomination of Lion Bob Andraschko to run for District Governor of 5M1. Club increased its dues to $60.00 a year.
