Brief History... 

Lion Floyd Bischel and Lion Fritz Hoffman were the recipients of the Melvin Jones Awards, which were presented to these two Lions at the Mid-Winter Convention. During the parade of green at the Mid-Winter Convention the club gave $1000 to Camp Winnebago. Stamps for the wounded started in the club. Club produces its own brochure of activities to be used
throughout the communities. Peace Poster established in Winona by the three Lions clubs, spearheaded by the Sunset Lions. Club members donate their time to help Habitat for Humanity for Winona County to frame a driveway. Club started a series of 6 pins. The pins will depict the club’s projects: chili supper (1996), pancake breakfast (1997), Goodview days chicken-Q (1998), broom drive (1999), craft sales (2000), and Winona Circus (2001). Lion of the Year was Lion Bob Andraschko.
